A short bio of the building Born somewhere around 1883, Mavris, then called a grocery receiving station for Indianapolis, was the depot for foods coming by train to the city. At that time the bridge on the north side was at street level. Around 1925, the tracks were raised to allow auto traffic to make it's way to the city. Around 1938 the Rubly Brothers purchased the building and converted it to a plumbing warehouse. June 30, 1999, Mavris purchased the building and transformed it into one of the most unique event venues in Indianapolis. I hope you enjoy a few of the transitional photos below.
