OUR HISTORY
The Mavris is a unique event space that promises to exceed your expectations. Built in 1883, its life includes a grocery distribution terminal for Indianapolis later to become a plumbing warehouse. On June 30, 1999, John Mavris purchased the building and began its rebirth to its original condition. Keeping a personal commitment to creating a new landmark for The City of Indianapolis, The Mavris with it's exposed brick walls, heavy timber construction and renewed maple floors is providing a unique urban experience that is talked about across state lines.
